What to expect from the CrossFit Currie Barracks Nutrition Challenge

The 2019 CrossFit Currie Barracks fall challenge is coming and it’s one you’re not going to want to miss out on. 

If you’ve never done a challenge at CFCB, there’s some things that you should know that will make this challenge a bit different than others you’ve done and potentially make it more successful. 

To start off with, although it’s a group challenge, it’s created so that each person gets the most personal experience we could possibly offer. It starts with you telling us as much about you as possible before we set you up with an initial body composition measurement. 

This measurement will tell us and you everything you need to know about your body when it comes to your weight, body fat percentage, muscle mass and amount of calories you need to consume each day. In that assessment, as coaches, we also go over everything so that you leave with a developed understanding of what’s going on under the hood with you. 

From there, we create a plan that’s tailored to you. In other group challenges, you can be left feeling like you’ve purchased a one size fits all suit. I mean, it’s still a suit, but it doesn’t fit your needs, your figure and your style of living. 

That’s not what we’re about. We work with you to figure out the foods you already like eating and enjoy so that we can find a solution that will get you closer to the goals you’ve always had in your mind. 

From there, we don’t just send you on your way and hope for the best. We check in with you on a weekly basis and ask how things are going. If they’re going great, we offer encouragement to keep going with the plan we’ve created together. If not, we work with you to mold the plan into something that works with you. 

At CFCB, we don’t believe in any one specific diet methodology. We firmly believe that the best diet in the world is the one you can stick to and follow forever. 

That can be different for every single person that does our challenges or works with our coaches. 

Along with those weekly check ins, we provide you ongoing emails with support, recipes, motivation and additional cardio-based workouts that you can use to get you to your goals—if losing weight is what you’re trying to achieve. 

Not only that, you’ll have access to the Facebook group along with all the other people in the challenge so that even if you’re not physically at our gym, you’ll be following along in the progress of other people that are going through exactly what you’re going through. 

At the end of the day, we do this challenge solely for you. For you to create the results that will actually last you a lifetime by learning the skills during these 8 weeks. 

At CFCB, we don’t believe in giving you fish to help fill your need; instead, we focus on teaching you how to fish so that you don’t need us someday looking over your shoulder.
